John's journey to founding CDS began with a profound personal crisis in 2014—a suicide attempt that marked a turning point in his life. Having survived this ordeal, he left the corporate world to retrain as a driving instructor, a role that uncovered the transformative power of driving on personal independence and confidence.
This pivotal experience led John to establish CDS, aiming to empower those facing significant life challenges such as abuse, homelessness, and bullying. He realised the great impact a driving licence could have on enhancing self-esteem and opening up employment opportunities.
